Operating Styles
Awning Windows
The awning style is hinged on top and open outward, enabling ventilation without letting in rain or falling leaves. Screens are on the outside of the window.
Single-Hung Windows
In the single-hung window, the bottom sash moves up to open and allow in air flow, while the top sash is fixed. They are ideal for rooms facing walkways, porches or patios.
Double-Hung Windows
Always-popular double-hung styles can be operated from the bottom or top sash, sliding up and down for ventilation. This style is also ideal for rooms facing walkways, porches or patios.
Casement Windows
Our casement option is hinged at the side and opens outward like a door. Because it has no rail, it looks like a picture window. A casement style with a crank works well over a sink, countertop or appliance.
Picture Windows
Picture windows do not open, and are usually installed at difficult-to-reach places in order to let in light. This style is ideal for an unobstructed view where ventilation is not a concern, or in areas susceptible to drafts.
Horizontal Sliding Windows
Horizontal slider styles open with the sash sliding left or right. This style is a favorite for homes with a more contemporary design, while also satisfying bedroom egress requirements.

These guys are top-notch! We needed some siding repair and they came out to look at the area and identify a color match on their own, gave us an estimate, and completed the work all within a couple days. We had initially called other contractors to give us estimates and the work was completed by Husker Hammer before the other companies could even get out to our house to look at the area. When starting the process of remodeling Kevin was very prompt and precise about giving us an estimate. I received a timely estimate followed by an in-person meeting to discuss the scope of work and expectations. I was able to adjust my initial request and had a short wait until our roof could be replced. The materials were accurate and delivered on time. The crew arrived early and stayed until the whole job was complete. The workers respected my property and left no roofing debris. Jake has been outstanding and the crews were amazing in replacing the roofing, gutters and downspouts. They work fast and do a very good job and cleaned up too! The storm on July 31 with hard rain and high winds was a great test and the roof and guttering passed with flying colors. Wonderful experience with this contractor.

Great job, arrived very promptly and efficient. However customer service was a bit lacking. Took about 2 weeks to hear back on my initial inspection. And surprised us when they came back to fix one spot. Suddenly there was someone on our roof! But at least they got the job done.

I had a marketing email from Husker Hammer end up in my junk folder, but when I saw that they were local plus did Siding, Windows AND Roofing, I decided to give them a try. Best decision ever. Even though our area has lots of people in need of repairs after the tornadoes, Kevin made time to come and look at my commercial property with ongoing water leak problems. He was able to assess what I needed, gave me a decent estimate and had a crew out to do the repairs the NEXT DAY. First hard rain and NO LEAKS. I've been dealing with this problem, not knowing how to fix it, worried it would cost an arm and a leg, so doing nothing until I couldn't ignore it any longer - Husker Hammer came to the rescue and they were amazing!
